The book introduces two people in positions of responsibility, Pete and Larry. They are both respected professionals, but they seem to have a different approaches and ways of thinking and acting. Both of them have done well in their jobs but you can judge for yourself which of them has benefited themselves and their companies more. Petes and Larrys examples point out the differences between ways of thinking and acting, and you can use these differences to assess your own actions and set yourself appropriate practices and goals.Every point of assessment is described in terms of the EFQM Excellence Model Criteria, and by adapting these criteria to your own needs you can learn about the Model and can apply it to the whole organisation. The examples in the book help the self evaluation participants to understand what each of the questions means. For every question, an evaluation is made of its importance, as well as its current and target performance capability, on a scale of 1 - 5. The book, the questions and the self-assessment can be adapted as development tools and as training material, even if the organisation does not adopt the EFQM Excellence Model or launch a special Intrapreneurship programme ER -
