| Summary | Maintenance and Asset Management is a key aspect for all of those organisations who have plant, equipment and facilities, where there is a requirement for the effective maintenance of such plant and equipment, along with the associated management of the capital assets. Maintenance, Repair and Operations or Overhaul items (MROs) are closely related, as these enable the maintenance of the plant in such organisations. This MRO supply cycle includes the functions of maintenance, procurement, suppliers, stores/inventory and the production/manufacturing users/customers. All of these functional parts are connected as part of a cross-functional process. The book covers how to evaluate the current procedures, make changes to methods that will improve running times and service intervals, whilst achieving reductions in costs and inventory holding. The book covers how to understand and then implement all the essential tools for efficient and effective management of maintenance. There is also a framework for continuous improvement, along with best in class practices. |
